The Mission

Children today face numerous challenges and are the first generation whose projected life expectancy is shorter than the preceding one.  FitPlay Foundation was founded on the belief that all children deserve and should have access to play, to athletic training, and to education.  These are not luxuries but necessities that ensure the personal success of our future generations.  Play and sports not only foster community but improve self confidence and provide access to education that many children would not have.

It is our responsibility as parents, teachers, coaches, and athletes to improve both the mental and physical health and wellness of a struggling generation of young people.  With nearly 50% of our nation’s youth expected to face the dangers of juvenile obesity, FitPlay’s main focus is to bring play back into kid’s lives and reduce that number.

The mission of FitPlay Foundation is simple; we commit to provide access to play and to athletic training in a safe environment where children will begin to realize their individual and collective potential.  We believe that in doing so we will directly impact and minimize the juvenile obesity epidemic and juvenile crime as well as provide a replicable program that will change the futures of young Americans.

PROVIDING ACCESS TO THE BEST TRAINING RESOURCES

Utilizing collegiate and professional athletes, coaches and personal trainers, FitPlay provides access to elite level sports and athletic training to meet the standard for physical activity and help children improve overall fitness level through fun, exciting age appropriate fitness activities. FitPlay may also be conducted on individual school campuses.

MEETING THE STANDARD

Issued for the first time in 2008, the US Department of Health and Human Services established physical activity guidelines for Americans which describe types and amounts of physical activity that offer substantial health benefits. FitPlay programs exceed all established guidelines.
